A senior advisor to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says the P5+1 group of countries must recognize Iran's “natural right” to peaceful nuclear technology.

“Given that the Islamic Republic has always proven its goodwill in nuclear talks and its commitment to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the P5+1 countries must also recognize Iran's natural right to attain peaceful nuclear energy,” Ali Akbar Velayati said .
Iran and the P5+1- Britain, China, France, Russia, and the United States plus Germany - held three sessions of plenary talks in Baghdad on May 23 and 24 after an earlier round of negotiations in the Turkish city of Istanbul in mid-April.

The two sides agreed to hold another round of talks in Moscow on June 18-19.

Last Week, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the P5+1 must recognize Tehran's nuclear energy rights in the forthcoming talks as the country will not budge from its position.

The US and some of its allies accuse Tehran of pursuing military objectives in its nuclear energy program.

However, the IAEA, which has conducted numerous inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities, has never found any evidence indicating that Tehran's nuclear energy program has been diverted towards nuclear weapons production.
