Khabar Online-Iran’s former ambassador to France said Moscow’s stance toward the Iranian nuclear program is harsher and “ more bitter” than that of Washington.

Speaking at the “New Russia, Putin” summit held at the Iranian Diplomacy Institute, Mohammad Sadegh Kharazi stated that Iran has suffered more at the hands of Russia than the United States.

Pointing to Russia's relations with Iran, Kharazi said there is a deep, historical mistrust between the two countries due to the contradictory behavior of Russians.

“Given all of this, we are still more annoyed by the United States' actions,” he added.

“In regards to the nuclear dilemma, the Russians’ stance toward the nuclear program has been bitterer and harsher than that of the Americans.” Addressing Iran's nuclear program, Kharazi added, “Even if we neutralize the existing tensions and normalize ties with the US, and the US accepts Iran’s right to nuclear enrichment, the Russians will not accept this--because Russia is Iran’s neighbor and a member of the regional neighborhood. Russia will not allow this to happen.”
