Iranian artist Mehran Elminia has held his first solo painting exhibition at the Rosenfeld Porcini Gallery of the British capital of London.

Revealing Harmonies displays large scale oil and mixed media works on canvas by the 37-year-old artist.“When I am in front of the blank canvas, I make a conscious attempt to eliminate all thoughts of my past, present and future and to stand naked in the most complete sense, negating any idea of 'I', so that my brush can produce the most instinctive, natural and purest relationship between it, the paint and the canvas," Artdaily quoted Elminia as saying.

Born in 1975 in Tabriz, Mehran Elminia obtained his masters in art from Rome University of Fine Arts.

He has presented his artworks in numerous galleries and art events such as Rome International Art Fair and Milan International Art Fair.

He has also contributed to group exhibitions in Dubai and Rome and was featured in the 2010 Biennale of Contemporary Religious Art at Stauros Museum, Italy.

Revealing Harmonies is Elminia’s first UK solo exhibition and will run until September 20, 2012 at the Rosenfeld Porcini Gallery.

Founded in June 2011 by Ian Rosenfeld and Dario Porcini, directors of Italy’s Galleria Napoli Nobilissima, the London gallery has a strong international outlook committed to showing contemporary artists from around the world.
