An exhibition of various contemporary Persian paintings by some Iranian artists has been mounted at the Spanish capital city of Madrid.

The exhibition, titled Inception, represents diverse styles of Realism, Expressionism and Surrealism in contemporary Iranian paintings.

The participated artists are Iranian residents in Spain, France as well as those ones who live in Iran, one of the artists Sanaz Haeri told ISNA.

Cultural and social similarities between two countries led us to hold an art exhibition in this European country. The show has been warmly received so far that can be related to the common aspects in two nations’ arts, Haeri noted.

Ali Soltani, Iman Maleki, Saeed Rajabi and Maryam Shariat are among the Iranian artists who took part in the event.

Inception exhibition, which has been held at the Madrid town hall’s cultural center, San Chiaro, will run until New Year.
