The Islamic Republic of Iran will hold its first Export Capabilities Exhibition in Tehran in February.

On Sunday, Hamid Reza Fazlali, the head of the headquarters responsible for holding the exhibition, said that the fair would be held at Tehran's Permanent International Fairgrounds from February 6 to February 9, IRNA reported.

Fazlali stated that, “More than 200 domestic companies have registered to attend the first exhibition” to offer their products and services.

He also said, “Despite the sanctions against Iran, 30 countries are supposed to attend” the exhibition.

The illegal US-engineered sanctions were imposed based on the unfounded accusation that Iran is pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.

Iran rejects the allegations, arguing that as a committed signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), it has the right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
