Rohani said on Thursday that he will prepare a “civil rights charter” if he succeeds in winning the presidential election.
Iran’s former chief nuclear negotiator vowed to form a “government of wisdom and hope” in case of achieving victory in the race.
“I have come to establish a government for the dignity of the Islamic Iran and saving the national economy, constructive interaction with the world and reviving morality in the society,” he said.
He added that the Iranian nation’s turnout in the presidential election would lead to a political achievement while the government of wisdom and hope would create an economic accomplishment.
The Islamic Republic’s eleventh presidential election will be held in June and presidential hopefuls will register from May 7 to May 11.
So far, at least 20 Principlist, Reformist and independent candidates have announced their decisions to run for president in the country’s upcoming presidential election.
The president of Iran is elected for a four-year term in a national election and the Guardian Council vets the candidates for qualifications.
