Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the enemy’s efforts to halt the nation’s progress will not succeed.

The enemy resorts to every pretext to impede Iran’s progress but will not be able to weaken the nation’s resolve, Ahmadinejad said at a ceremony held in Tehran on Saturday to honor exemplary workers from across the nation.

“Because we are inside Iran, we don’t feel the country’s developments and advances, but those who live outside Iran and analyze our issues are aware of this historic leap,” he noted.

“I do believe that no peak of… progress is out of reach for the Iranian nation,” he stated.

Describing Iran’s progress as “excellent,” Ahmadinejad said “a much brighter future” awaits the Iranian nation.

“[But] everyone should discharge their duties to build the country,” he added.

He went on to say that the government will spare no effort to boost the national development drive.

Iran has made great progress in various areas over the past few years, including peaceful nuclear energy, defense, nanotechnology, and aerospace, just to name a few. And despite the attempts by the enemy to undermine the country, Iran continues to make progress.
