Iran's national volleyball team beat Germany 3-0 in the 2013 World League in Tehran Friday evening.

Iranian volleyballers won the match 3-0 (25-19, 25-18 and 25-20) in a match at Azadi Sports Complex in Western Tehran.

The victory was the Iranian volleyball team’s fifth in this year's FIVB World League.

The second leg of the match will be held tomorrow.

On June 23, the Iranian volleyball players gained their first victory in the World League against Serbia. The National Iranian volleyball team defeated Serbia 3-2 at Azadi Sports Complex. Iran had lost their first game against Serbia 3-2 two days earlier.

Then, they went to Italy and won the first match 3-1, but lost the second 3-2.

The Iranian team then won Cuba in two matches 3-2 and 3-1 last week.

Iran now have 15 points, standing fourth in Group B.

The Germans stand fifth with 14 points now
