China CBA new comer Sichuan announced the signing of Hamed Haddadi on Friday.

Haddadi, 28, drew interest from the Knicks this summer, though the team ultimately decided to sign Cole Aldrich rather than Haddadi.

The Iranian big man was said earlier this month to be weighing offers from NBA teams and Chinese clubs. By heading overseas, Haddadi figures to have more financial security -- he'll earn about $1.3 in China, according to hoopsrumors.

The best Asian center started last season with NBA giant Memphis Grizzlies then he got traded to Toronto Raptors. After that he signed at Phoenix Suns, where he averaged 4.1ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.2bpg in 17 games.

Haddadi was named the most valuable player in the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship held in the Philippines in August.
