Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says the Islamic Republic’s “active diplomacy” has slowed down the increasing pace of illegal sanctions against the country.

The administration’s diplomatic initiative in constructive interaction with the world ... has both made the [world] governments praise the democracy in Iran and halted the growing process of imposing sanctions against the country,” the Iranian president said.

“Iran’s active diplomacy has taken the initiative and attracted world public opinion ... and is moving step by step toward removing the obstacles to the Iranian nation’s progress by consolidating Iran’s inalienable nuclear rights,” Rouhani said.

The Iranian president said the Israeli regime, which wants to obstruct the process of understanding and interaction between Iran and the international community, has now been isolated.

“Throughout the history of the Islamic Revolution, we have witnessed that whenever the Islamic establishment gets close to a success in the international political scene, the Zionist Israelis commit acts of sabotage ... inside and outside of Iran,” Rouhani noted.
