Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has left Tehran on a two-leg trip to Kuwait and Oman to discuss regional and international issues.

Zarif, who left the Iranian capital on Sunday, is scheduled to take part in a meeting of the Iran-Kuwait joint economic commission.

The top Iranian diplomat will also hold talks with senior Kuwaiti officials over bilateral ties as well as regional and international developments.

Zarif will pay a visit to Oman on the second leg of his trip to meet with Omani officials.
