In his message to the Lebanese official on Wednesday, Zarif hoped that peace and friendship will take hold across the world “thanks to the auspicious occasion.”
Meanwhile, Chairman of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Iran’s Majlis Alaeddin Boroujerdi sent a message of felicitation to Abdel Latif El-Zein, the chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Committee at the Lebanese Parliament.
In his message, Boroujerdi said Jesus Christ, like all other prophets, enjoins humankind to seek salvation in light of justice, stand up to oppression and tyranny, and fight to safeguard lofty divine values.
Highlighting the instrumental role that parliaments play in fostering friendship and peace among nations, the Iranian lawmaker also expressed Majlis’ readiness to develop ties with the Lebanese legislature.
