“The Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns today’s (Tuesday) terrorist and inhume incident in Beirut which killed and wounded a number of innocent Lebanese civilians, offers sympathy to the families of the victims of the heartrending incident, and wishes a speedy recovery for those injured,” Afkham said on Tuesday.

She added, “Undoubtedly, this terrorist act and other similar moves by Takfiri groups in Lebanon and the region are in line with the interests of the Zionist regime (of Israel), and are meant to undermine Lebanon's national unity, stability and security.”
