Iran's President Hassan Rouhani and new Qatari Ambassador to Tehran Ali Ibn Ahmad Ali al-Salayti, in a meeting on Saturday, exchanged views over utilizing the two countries' abundant potentials to widen their all-out relations.

In the meeting, the Iranian President underlined that Tehran is fully ready to promote all-out relations with Doha.

He further added that while current regional situation is very sensitive, expansion of ties with neighboring countries would play a pivotal role in future of the region.

President Rouhani expressed hope that Tehran-Doha relations would further develop in cultural, economic and trade areas.

Al-Salayti, for his part, said the Qatari government attaches great importance to expansion of cordial relations with Iran.

Both Iran and Qatar have recently augmented efforts to further expand ties and cooperation in all the different political, economic, defense, security and cultural fields.

The two Persian Gulf littoral states recently signed several protocols to increase mutual cooperation.
