Deputy Foreign Minister for the Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said Monday that Syrian crisis has been orchestrated by enemies of Islamic Resistance to the Israeli occupation.

In a meeting in Tehran with Sheikh Hassan Abdallah, the head of the administrative committee for Lebanese Assembly of Islamic Ulema, Amir-Abdollahian underlined the role of Muslim Ulema in Islamic states to help Palestinians liberate motherland from occupation.

Amir-Abdollahian hailed measures taken by the Assembly of Islamic Ulema to fight extremism and terror by Takfiri groups.

The Lebanese official, for his part, said the Assembly of Islamic Ulema has been influenced by late founder of Islamic Republic Imam Khomeini and guidelines of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Sheikh Hassan Abdallah said that Islamic proximity and support for Islamic Resistance to the occupation of the Zionist regime are main goals of the Assembly.

He called for Islamic unity to foil enemiesˈ plots.
