Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian and Ivory Coast's Transport Minister Gaoussou Toure, in a meeting here on Sunday, explored new avenues for the promotion of all-out relations.

In the meeting, Amir Abdollahian voiced Iran's readiness for expansion of cooperation with the West African country.

Toure, for his part, urged the Iranian side to share its valuable technical sciences with his country in the field of auto assembly.

Toure, heading a delegation, arrived in Tehran on Sunday.

After the victory of Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979, the Iranian governments have prioritized expansion of ties with African countries.

Iran is an observing member of the African Union and has shown an active presence in previous AU summit meetings.

The country is considered as one of the AU's strategic partners along with India, Japan, China, several South American states and Turkey, while Tehran is also believed to be prioritizing promotion of its economic and political ties with the African states.
