Ministry of Oil (MoU) has done its best to prepare the ground for presence of foreign investors in Iranˈs oil and gas projects, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said on Thursday.

He made the remarks in an interview with reporters on the sidelines of his visit to the South Pars gas field.

 

Referring to the ongoing talks between Tehran and G5+1 in Vienna, Zangeneh noted that if Iran and G5+1 reach a final nuclear agreement, the ground is fully prepared to facilitate foreign investorsˈ active presence in Iranˈs oil and gas projects.

 

Zangeneh in his visit to the South Pars gas field was accompanied by Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and some local officials.

 

The South Pars gas field, divided into 28 phases, is located in the Persian Gulf on the common border between Iran and Qatar. The field is estimated to hold 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels of condensates.
