An official with Hormuzganˈs Customs Office announced Monday that the province has exported some 8.17 million tons of non-oil products in the first three months of the Iranian calendar year starting on March 21, 2014.

Abbas Ali Dadi told IRNA in this southern provincial city that the exported products were worth 2.2 billion dollars.

 

Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh has recently announced the countryˈs plans to boost export of non-oil commodities to 50 billion dollars by the end of the current Iranian year (ending on March 20).

 

Iran exported approximately 11.859 billion dollars worth of non-oil commodities in the second quarter of 2014, the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) said earlier this month.

 

Petrochemical, agricultural and industrial products as well as carpets and handicrafts were among the exported items shipped to different countries including Iraq, China, India, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
