During the meeting in the Iranian capital today, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and new Vietnamese Ambassador to Tehran Negvin Hung Tach explored avenues for bolstering and reinvigorating mutual cooperation.
Zarif described the status quo in Tehran-Hanoi relations as satisfactory, and said, "I hope the two countries' relations will further expand in all areas."
The Iranian foreign minister pointed to the ongoing Israeli crimes in Gaza, and said that the world countries should do their best to halt massacre of the defenseless Palestinians by Israel.
The Vietnamese ambassador, for his part, expressed his country's readiness for exchanging delegations between the two countries.
In mid-May 2013, Iranian and Vietnamese officials in a meeting in Hanoi underlined the necessity for boosting mutual cooperation.
During the meeting between former Iranian Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Mehdi Qazanfari and Vietnamese President Truong Tan Sang in the Vietnamese capital, Qazanfari exchanged views on ways to develop relations and promote cooperation between the two countries with the Vietnamese president.
The Iranian minister of industry, mines and trade said joint investment projects would be highly beneficial for both nations, and expressed the hope that by holding joint economic commission, the two countries would witness growth in their bilateral ties.
Iran and Vietnam enjoy excellent and high potentials to develop economic cooperation, the Iranian minister said, and hoped that the two nations would use all their potentials to augment their trade ties.
The Vietnamese president, for his part, expressed his country's readiness for expansion of economic cooperation with Iran in line with mutual interests.
