Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif reiterated Tehranˈs intention to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency in a meeting here Sunday with the visiting head of the international body.

IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano arrived here early Sunday morning for consultations on Iran-IAEA cooperation within the Cooperation Framework Agreement with top Iranian officials signed last year.

ˈIAEA is the only body internationally qualified in the field of nuclear issue,ˈ Zarif said in the meeting.

He stressed the need for the IAEA ˈto act in the framework of its regulations as a professional and neutral body.ˈ

Amano is in Tehran to hold separate meetings with President Hassan Rouhani and Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi.

This is Amanoˈs 2nd visit to Iran ever since President Rouhani took office in August 2013.

His first visit took place in November 2013 to sign Iran-IAEA Cooperation Framework Agreement.

During that visit Amano did not have an opportunity to meet President Rouhani.
