On Thursday, armed men suspected to be members of the deadly Boko Haram group killed 32 people and abducted 185 others in Gumsuri village of Northeast Nigeria's Borno State.
Afkham reiterated that Iran deplores the terrorist attacks on the civilians in Nigeria, and further expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims of the terrorist attack.
The Iranian foreign ministry spokeswoman also urged immediate release of all abducted civilians.
Among those abducted were married women, girls and children, a security source said.
The village head and leader of the youth vigilante, also known as civilian Joint Task Force (JTF), were also killed by the attackers who invaded the village on Sunday.
Several civilian JTF were injured while attempting to repel the invasion, the source said.
