Iran's exports of gas condensates and petrochemicals increased by 40 percent in the first ten months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2014-January 21, 2015) compared to the corresponding period last year.

Iran has earned over 12.1 billion dollars by selling gas condensate during the period while it obtained 8.5 billion dollars from gas condensate exports within the same period last year, Head of the Management and Planning Organization Mohammad Baqer Nobakht said on Wednesday.

"Last year, Iran's ten-month petrochemical exports brought the country 9.2 billion dollars worth of income while the figure has jumped to $12.8bn in the current year," he added.

Iran's Customs Administration announced in a statement on Sunday that the country exported 9.575 million tons of gas condensates worth $8.653 billion showing a rise of 35 percent in weight and 40 percent increase in value in the first 10 months of the current year as compared with last year's corresponding period.

The main destinations of the Iranian condensate supplies were China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and India.
