Tehran is ready for cooperation with IAEA for resolving misunderstandings on PMD issue, said Iranian top nuclear negotiator Seyyed Abbas Araqchi on Friday, evaluating agency chief Yukiya Amano's Tehran visit as good and successful.
'We are very hopeful that the possible military dimensions (PMD) issue is being resolved and progress has been achieved in the field,' said the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister in a press conference in Vienna.

The Iranian diplomat said that the PMD issue is 'an old, lingering issue' belonging to remote past.

'On those days some claims were made on Iran's nuclear program which led to beginning of pressures and imposing of sanctions,' he said.

Araqchi said that the conditions are ripe now for resolving those old disputes in a calmer atmosphere.

'We too, are ready for cooperation with Mr. Amano to clarify that the anti-Iranian claims have been baseless, the field opened against the Islamic Republic are inclusive of false information, and the Iranian nuclear file has no dark points,' he said.
