Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif, US Secretary of States John Kerry and the EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini ended a tripartite meeting which was held to discuss remaining issues.

The meeting started at 22:45 hours local time (about 01:15 Tuesday morning in Tehran) and lasted for less than an hour.

The three officials discussed outcome of the meeting of the deputies of foreign ministers from Iran, US and the European countries which was underway simultaneously with the tripartite meeting.

Other meetings were also being held at expert level to discuss the text of the final deal.

Different comments have been made about the outcome of the talks but the Iranian negotiating team has not commented on the issue yet.

It was earlier reported that the Russian foreign minister was to leave Vienna but he has changed his mind and stayed at the Palais Cuborg hotel.

US and other members of the Group 5+1 (Russia, Britain, France and China plus Germany) have extended the deadline of the talks by July 13 noting they would extend it for a short time if no deal was made by the end of the day.

However, the Iranian negotiating team has said that the negotiators are not bound by any deadline.
