Iran is not a threat to international peace, President Rouhani said in a ceremony on Tuesday held on the occasion of the Students' Day at Tehran University.
'By capitalizing on the dispute over Iran's nuclear issue, they wanted to persuade others that the Islamic Republic establishes a threat against security and stability of its neighbors as well as Europe and the global peace,' he said.
They referred Iran's nuclear dossier to the United Nations Security Council and they identified Iran as a so-called threat to international peace and security under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, Rouhani said.
The Iranian President said we wanted to let the world come to realize that Iran is no international threat and that Washington and Tel Aviv were misguiding the world.
'If there is any international threat, it comes but from the US, Zionists and their allies,' he said.
