Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Tuesday that Iranian Majlis (parliament) welcomes any move for restoration of stability and security in Iraq.

Larijani, talking to Iraqi Vice-President Nuri al-Maliki, said regional crises have unveiled the hypocrite image of certain regional states.
He criticized certain regional countries for their role in the Syrian and Iraqi crises and said there are suitable political and economic capacities which should be used in line with interests of the two nations by careful planning so as to observe expansion of bilateral relations.
Larijani congratulated Iraqi Vice-President on recent victories of Iraqi army and Hashd al-Shaabi in Mosul and said conditions in Iraq and Syria today are better than the past and the approval of Iraqi parliament for formation of Hashd al-Shaabi has created new capacities should can afford a great deal of help for restoration of stability and campaign against terrorism in the country.
Larijani said regional crises showed that policy of certain regional countries are in cooperation with terrorism and securing interests of the Zionist regime.
He added that enemies of Iraqi nation do not wish stabilization of recent victories of Iraqi people and government.
The Iranian speaker said national solidarity and unity of political groups in Iraq is the key to victory of Iraq against terrorism. 'Strengthening integrity and broad-based national solidarity and settlement of differences among Iraqi political groups can result in settlement of problems of Iraqi people in the face of enemies of the country.'
Maliki for his part lauded the Islamic republic of Iran's 'principled stances' vis-a-vist regional issues, especially crises in Iraq and Syria, and said the Islamic Republic of Iran's policies have always been in support for resistance and genuine campaign against terrorism.
He said consolidation and promotion of economic, political and security cooperation between Iran and Iraq can result in settlement of problems facing the region.
He criticized stances of certain regional countries vis-à-vis regional developments and said dirty plans of such countries as Turkey and Saudi Arabia for disintegration of Iraq and Syria have been failed.
Outlining victories gained in campaign against Daesh in Iraq, Maliki said, 'We have scored many success in campaign against terrorism and promotion of the political process and we are thankful to God for it.'
He underlined constant consultation of Iranian and Iraqi senior officials on regional and international issues.
