The 7th Iran-G5+1 Joint Commission Session opened in Vienna, attended by representatives of Iran and the EU.

Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi and Deputy Foreign Minister for Euro-American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi as well as Helga Schmid, the Secretary General of the European External Action Service (EEAS), are present in the meeting.
That’s the first session of the Commission following coming to power of the new US administration.
The former session was held on January 10, 2017, ten days before end of the former US President Barack Obama’s presidency and on a call by Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad-Javad Zarif.
It aimed to deal with the US disloyalty and extension of the so-called ISA.
One of the topics on agenda of today’s session is the call for purchase of 950 tons of yellow cake from Kazakhstan in a three-year period that not all countries, being party to the purchase channel, have agreed to.
