During their talks, the two officials consulted about expansion of all-out ties especially in the economic and trade fields and technology.
Vegra Strommen expressed satisfaction over the expansion of ties, and said, “Regular exchanges of opinion between foreign ministry authorities of the two countries, particularly after the nuclear deal and removal of sanctions, is useful and of significance.
The Norwegian official said that the country actively supports safeguarding and enacting the nuclear deal between Tehran and world powers.
Saying that trade exchanges between Iran and Norway doubled in the previous year, Strommen called for the expansion of collaborations especially in oil industry, agriculture and fisheries between the two nations.
Moreover, Takht-e-Ravanchi, describing talks as constructive and important, said that, “Relations between Iran and Norway have seen good developments and bilateral ties are on the right track.”
The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Europe-American Affairs called for more various relations between Iran and Norway alongside the existing ones, adding that it is necessary to facilitate banking and finance cooperation more than before and to collaborate in advanced technologies.
The two officials also discussed regional and international developments, including the EU, Syria, and Iraq. They also stressed on political and diplomatic solution for crises, providing humanitarian aids and continuous joint combat on terrorism.
The previous round of talks took place in mid-February 2016, when Takht-e-Ravanchi had a visit to Oslo.
