Presidential candidate Eshaq Jahangiri said on Saturday that he has plans and does not make mere promises.

Speaking during a huge election gathering in the Iranian capital, Jahangiri said, 'We have plans for the Iranian youth.”

'We want to act so that all Iranians feel proud of living in Iran.'

Jahangiri, who is vice-president under the incumbent President Hassan Rouhani, hailed the government’s achievements in foreign diplomacy, internal policy and economy.

Iran’s biggest asset is its well-educated youth, Jahangiri said, adding that being young is not a threat, rather it’s the best opportunity for the country’s growth.

The reformist discourse has emerged victorious, the presidential candidate said.

Reformers wanted freedom, solidarity and unity in the country, Jahangiri said, expressing hope that with the establishment of “the Government of Prudence and Hope” all the obstacles would be removed.

He assured the Iranian nation that all the country's problems would be overcome over the next four years through dialogue, mutual understanding and national solidarity.
