Iran enjoys historical cultural ties with countries of the region, including Kyrgyzstan, Hassan Hashemi said concluding his two-day visit to Bishkek, adding that the two countries’ will support bilateral relations expansion.
“Membership of Kyrgyzstan in Eurasian Economic Union, as well as Iran’s ties with Tajikistan have made the grounds ready for vast cooperation between Tehran and the Eurasian body,” he added in an interview with IRNA.
The minister affirmed that if Iran’s private sector is determined, it could certainly benefit from the opportunities created through his visit to Kyrgyzstan for expanding healthcare ties, including three memorandums of understanding.
Medicine, entrepreneurship and investment are among other fields of cooperation between Iran and Kyrgyzstan, according to him.
Expressing satisfaction at the achievements of his visit to Kyrgyzstan, Hashemi added that he would have a tight agenda of talks with Afghan officials.
The minister heading a delegation arrived in Kabul on Wednesday.
He expressed hope that Iran would have more efficient trade, educational and research ties with its eastern neighbor.
The visit to Kabul may contribute to controlling contagious diseases and preventing them from spreading into Iran as well as paving the way for expanding economic and scientific ties in health sector, Hashemi emphasized.
Three memorandums of understanding as the roadmap of the two countries’ cooperation in medicine, education and medical equipment were signed during the two-day visit to Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan with an area of about 199,000 square kilometers and nearly a six million population, declared independence in 1991 after the former Soviet.
The country neighbors Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China.
