Iran took part in XVI meeting of the International Council for Business Cooperation (ICBC) of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Caspian Sea region 'Business Caspian' which started work today in Astrakhan, Russia.

The meeting was held with the attendance of officials and chairmen of five Caspian Sea member-states, including Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the Governor General of Astrakhan Alexander Zhilkin said Iran's trade house will be opened in Astrakhan.

'We will establish close cooperation with Iran's Chamber of Commerce,' he added.

Iranian 60-member delegation headed by Chairman of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Gholam Hossein Shafeie attended the event.

The organizers of the event are the Union 'Astrakhan Chamber of Commerce and Industry' and the Iran-Russian Chamber of Commerce with the support of the Administration of the Astrakhan region and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, according to Russia Chamber Commerce website.
