German envoy to Iran in a message expressed condolences over the deadly earthquake in western Iran which resulted in killing hundreds of people and injuring thousands of others.

'Convey sincere condolences of Germany to the Government and the People of Iran on occasion of the deadly earthquake in western parts of Iran. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Germany ready to help if needed,' Michael Klor Berchtold said in a Twitter message ‏which was released on Monday.

The 7.3-magnitude earthquake in Kermanshah Province, western Iran has so far claimed the lives of 214 people and injured 2,504 more.
