An upcoming visit by the UK Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson to Iran is on both countries' agenda, spokesman for Iranian Foreign Ministry announced here on Monday.

'We are arranging the trip,' Bahram Qasemi told reporters at his weekly press briefing.

Commenting on the visit of the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to Iran, Qasemi said it will happen within next weeks.

Talking about the trip of French President Emmanuel Macron, the spokesman said the time of his visit is not clear yet, but it may happen after Le Drian's trip to the Iranian capital.

France's Presidential Office announced in mid October that he is considering a visit to Iran.

Reacting to Macron's recent remarks about Iran's missile program during his visit to the Persian Gulf region, Qasemi said, 'his stance was unclear.'

He added that Tehran expects Paris to look at the regional developments more vigilantly and reasonably.

Qasemi had already said that Iran's missile program is defensive and unrelated to the 2015 nuclear deal which the country signed with the six world powers.

'France is fully aware of our country's firm position that Iran's defense affairs are not negotiable,' Qasemi added.
