'Attending the Asian Parliamentary Assembly is an appropriate opportunity for boosting convergence among Islamic countries,” Larijani told reporters in Tehran prior to leaving for Istanbul on Tuesday morning.

While referring to the major role Iran played in fighting terrorism, Larijani said, “Fall of Daesh in Iraq and Syria is the result of Iraqi and Syrian peoples' resistance.”
