Iran and Kazakhstan agreed on promoting trade, industrial, and agricultural fields and also on transiting products to Persian Gulf littoral states.

“We reached an agreement on creating a joint work group for developing industrial, mine and trade cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan,” Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari said in a meeting with Askar Myrzakhmetov Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“Both countries are also supposed to sign an MoU on promoting technical and engineering services. Iran is able to export equipments of combined cycle, gas, electricity and water power plants to other countries,” the Iranian minister said.

He also referred to Iran-Kazakhstan-Russia trilateral cooperation in swap and transit of agricultural produce.

Facilitating visa issuance process for Iranian and Kazakh businessmen was also among the topics discussed by both sides, he said expressing Iran's readiness to remove visa for commercial travellers.

Meanwhile, Myrzakhmetov expressed Kazakhstan's readiness to export cereal to Iran and to import Iran’s fruits and other agricultural products.
