Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov reviewed regional issues.

During the meeting in Moscow on Wednesday, Zarif described as constructive the Russian Federation's principled positions as regard the US attempts to intervene in Iran's internal affairs.

After some Iranians took to the streets to protest against the unemployment and high prices, and, with the provocation of certain foreign and anti-Islamic Revolution media, some elements penetrated the lines of protestors to drive the peaceful protests towards violence; US President Donald Trump overtly supported the rioters assuming that the former US administration had made a mistake about Iran's riots in 2009.

Following that, United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, whose hostility is as clear as daylight and tries to push Iran on top of the UNSC agenda through different subjects so that the Zionist regime can get rid of the international pressures and breathe a sigh of relief, was assigned to make scene against Iran in front of the press.

The UNSC members, feeling what she was going to do, did not let her misuse this opportunity for political ends, such as harming Iran Nuclear Deal.

Meanwhile, Lavrov stressed on the importance of Iran nuclear deal known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), saying it is essential that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has verified Iran’s commitment to the nuclear accord.

'Russia underlines the crucial role of the IAEA,' he noted.

Zarif’s visit to Moscow is in line with continuous consultations with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Iran's nuclear accord.

“The Iranian FM is also to have a trip to Brussels on Thursday to attend a meeting of the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, and the foreign ministers of France, Germany and the UK,” Qasemi added.
