Iranian foreign minister on Wednesday called for international cooperation to save the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached between Iran and G5+1 (the US, the UK, Russia, China and France plus Germany).

'We, you and other members of the JCPOA should closely coordinate with each other and ensure that this achievement would be seriously pursued,' Mohammad Javad Zarif said in a meeting with Sergey Lavrov.

He referred to Iran's commitment to the JCPOA, and said that unfortunately, one of the G5+1 member-states has not remained committed to its obligations and has adopted destructive policies in this regard.

Commenting on the upcoming Syrian National Dialogue Congress to be held in the Russian city of Sochi on January 29-30, Zarif said that the summit is a great chance that can promote the UN talks in Geneva and help to establishment of sustainable peace in Syria.
