Iran is determined to cement its economic, scientific and cultural relations with Ghana as a friendly and brotherly country, said President Hassan Rouhani on Saturday in a meeting with the new Ambassador of Ghana in Tehran, Sayuti Yahaya Iddi, to receive his letter of credence.

'The Joint Commission of Cooperation of Iran and Ghana must identify the potentials and capacities for developing cooperation and activate the private sectors of the two countries to create a good atmosphere for deepening Tehran-Accra relations,' continued the President.

'Iran is ready to cement ties and cooperation with Ghana in cultural and health fields,' President Rouhani added.

The new Ambassador of Ghana to Tehran presented his letter of credence to the Iranian president and appreciated the Islamic Republic of Iran's aid to Ghana, especially in the field of health and said, 'There are ample potentials for developing relations and cooperation between the two countries and we always want to promote ties with Iran'.
