"We don’t have any official military presence in Syria and if any footage or propaganda exists in this regard, they should be pursued (studied) within another framework," Spokeswoman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Marziyeh Afkham said in her weekly press conference in Tehran on Tuesday.
She underlined the necessity for a political and peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis, and voiced Tehran's readiness to continue sending humanitarian aids to the crisis-stricken country.
"The Islamic Republic has voiced readiness to send humanitarian aids to Syria, a part of which is underway now," Afkham said.
Her remarks came after a footage surfaced on the internet that apparently showed the Iranian nationals along with the Syrian forces fighting the terrorists in Syria.
The footage was uploaded by a group of Syrian opposition fighters who claim they have captured the tapes after overrunning a government forces' base.
They claimed the tapes belonged to an Iranian cameraman who was killed in the fighting.
This is while Iran has sent several humanitarian aid cargoes to Syria in recent months.
United Nations Undersecretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Valery Amos in a recent meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Damascus Mohammad Reza Raouf Sheibani lauded the Islamic Republic for supplying the Syrians with humanitarian aids on a regular basis.
During the meeting in Damascus earlier this month, Amos pointed to Iran’s role in supplying humanitarian aids to the Syrian nation, and appreciated the Islamic Republic for hosting a trilateral conference among Iran, Syria and Switzerland to coordinate the international contributions for the Syrian nation.
The UN undersecretary general also presented a report on his meetings with the Syrian officials and the moves that the UN has made to supply humanitarian aids for the Syrian refugees.
