President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday night that Iran would continue its support for estalishment of peace and stability in the region.

President Rouhani, who has traveled to Mashhad, in the northeastern Khorasan Razavi province on his eighth provincial tour, made the remarks in a meeting with the senior clerics and religious students.

 

The administration has made achievements in the field of foreign policy and it could foil Iranophobia projects which were trying to accuse Iran of support for terrorism, President Rouhani added.

 

He also said that the government will continue dialogue with world to prove the peaceful and logical nature of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

 

Iran did its best to fight terrorism and extremism in the region and would extend its support for regional peace and stability, the president announced.

 

Iranˈs foreign policy has taken new directions since Rouhani was elected as President in 2013. In the meantime, nuclear talks between Iran and the G5+1 members have gained momentum.
