Iran produced approximately 262,000 tons of Aluminum ingot in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21- November 22), Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) said.

IMIDRO said that the figure showed 2,000 tons more production than the target set for the period.

IMIDRO added that Iran Aluminum Company in Arak had a share of 135,413 tons, Al-Mahdi Aluminum Company in Bandar Abbas a share of 72,966 tons and Hormuzal Company a share of 54,565 tons in the total output.

Furthermore, in the past nine months, 188,956 tons of alumina powder, 112,708 tons of lime, and 321,225 tons of aluminum hydrate were produced by Iran Alumina Company.

Iran is among the tenth mineral-rich countries worldwide, and is resolved not to send its raw materials abroad, instead, it has planed to process the country's minerals to earn more profit from their exports.
