Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Monday that enemy’s military move will unify one nation but cultural inroads weaken their wills and deviate the young generation.

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with a group of veteran commanders of the eight years of Iran-Iraq imposed war and those in charge of setting of Rahian-e Noor (the pilgrims of light) or those visiting war zones during Iran-Iraq eight years of sacred defense.

Experiences gained during eight-years of sacred defense should be regarded as one of pure cultural wealth obtained during the period, the Supreme Leader said, adding that proper production of cultural packs will be the only way to thwart the plots masterminded by ill-wishers.

Under no circumstances the lessons learned during eight years of sacred defense should be forgotten, the Supreme Leader said.

“Belief in resisting against bullying powers and also the beliefs which says If you resist, you will overcome enemies” are among cultural assets of the Iranian nation which all should be maintained and would lead to great achievements, the Supreme Leader said.

When the Ba'athist enemy realized our weakness, they started the war, but if they were not sure to surrender Tehran in few days, they never wage war, the Supreme Leader said.

There is one general rule which says “Feeling of weakness emboldens the enemy to wage a war”, therefore, if you mind to dissuade any enemy to start a war, you should avoid expressing weakness and reveal your points of strengths instead,” the Supreme Leader said.

Since some people expressed weakness on the economic status of the country, the enemy noticed that it can put pressure on this lope, the Supreme Leader said.

Officials should be watchful on screening movies and films to prevent emergence of minds which undermine the values of the sacred defense, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The Supreme leader also advised officials at the government and universities to make use of invaluable experiences gained during sacred defense years in the text books.

'Continued cultural activities will protect the country against cultural inroads,' the leader said.

Culture is like economy, it means that lack of cultural products will lead to imports of such products resulting to failure of domestic production, the Supreme Leader said.

One of the major problems in the country is massive imports of goods and products against incomplete production inside the country, the Supreme Leader said.
