President Hassan Rouhani heading a high-profile delegation arrived in the city of Tabriz, capital city of East Azarbaijan, to visit flood-stricken areas.

During the tour, Rouhani will be informed on services provided for people and is also scheduled to visit the bereaved families of the victims of the sad incident.

Interior Minister Abdulreza Rahmani Fazli, Minister of Agricultural Jihad Mahmoud Hojjati, Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian, Vice President and Head of Iran's Department of the Environment, Massoumeh Ebtekar and Vice President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Mollaverdi accompany Rouhani during the one-day trip.

Rouhani is to participate in East Azarbaijan Crisis Management Committee meeting.

Necessary measures to be taken by officials to address the situation of the flood-stricken areas will be issues as well.

Heavy rain caused floods and landslides in East Zarbaijan on April 14.

The deadly incident resulted in missing 42 people and So far the dead bodies of 38 victims of the floods have been recovered.

Floods also inflicted heavy damage to provinces of West Azarbaijan, Kurdestan and Ardebilh and killed dozens of fellow-countrymen.
