According to the embassy statement, about 200 Iranians who live in Wellington advanced the money to the account of the Iranian Red Crescent.

In his message to Mohammad Javad Zarif, Peters expressed deep sorrow over the death and injury of people in Iran.
A Strong quake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale jolted western provinces of Kermanshah, Ilam and Kordestan on November 12.
According to the latest figures, around 500 people were killed and about 12,500 others were wounded in the quake.
