The spokesman sympathized with the families of the victims and the Iraqi government and nation as well, reiterating Iran’s support for stability and security in Iraq.
He said that Iran regards the security of Iraq as its own security and will spare no help and effort in this regard.
Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein has said that some 500 to 600 tourists, mainly from Baghdad and southern Iraqi provinces, were present at the scene of the incident, noting that the attack killed 9 civilian people, injuring some 31 others.
