Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian left Tehran for Muscat on Tuesday to hold a new round of regional consultations.

During his stay in Muscat, Amirabdollahian is to discuss bilateral, regional, and international issues with Omani officials.

Last week, Amirabdollahian participated in the second Baghdad conference in Jordan and had important meetings or discussions with various foreign officials on the sidelines of the event.

He had also attended Tehran Dialogue Forum, which was held last week with the presence of Iranian and foreign diplomats and scholars.

He offered Iran's readiness to hold a joint meeting of foreign and defense ministers of the Persian Gulf and neighboring states.
