“The United States' attacks on the Yemeni capital Sana’a are part of US-UK strikes in support of the Israeli regime, and these attacks serve as an encouragement for the regime to continue its brutal crimes against the Palestinian people in Gaza”, Spokesman for Yemen's Ansarullah Movement Mohammed Abdul-Salam said on his X account, according to an IRNA report on Saturday.
He reiterated that the US-led airstrikes on Yemen will not stop the Arab country launching military operations on Israel-linked ships in the Red Sea.
Yemen has been conducting such operations since mid-November in an effort to force the Israeli regime to stop its genocide in Gaza. The US and the UK have responded to the operations by conducting airstrikes on Yemen, which began om January 11.
Yemen at the same time has also fired missiles at positions inside Israeli-occupied territories, with a missile landing in Eilat Port earlier this week without being intercepted.
Al-Ahed news, citing Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, has said that Israeli settlers are increasingly concerned about Yemeni missile and drone attacks.
Ynet News also reported that the Israeli army confirmed after three days that they had shot down cruise missiles fired from Yemen over the occupied territories.
