30th FIFF announced the titles of 8 films for the Competition of Films from Islamic Countries (Cinema of Salvation).

According to the public relation office of the 30th Fajr International Film Festival, eight foreign movies have found their ways to the Competition of Films from Islamic Countries (Cinema of Salvation) running in February this year.
 
Films from Turkey, India, France, Indonesia, Egypt, and Qatar will be competing in this section.
 
The Following is a list of the entries:
 
-         Abu, Son Of Adam, Directed by Salim Ahmed from India/ 2011
-         Free Men Directed by Ismaël FerroukhiFrance/ 2011 from
-         Hawi Directed by Ibrahim El-Batout from Egypt, Qatar/ 2010
-         Tahrir 2011: The Good, The Bad, And The Politician Directed by Tamer Ezzat, Ayten Amin, and Amr Salama from Egypt/ 2011
-         Under The Protection Of Ka'bah Directed by Hanny Saputra from Indonesia/ 2011
-         Free Man Directed by Mehmet Tanrısever from Turkey/ 2011
-         Silence of Lake's Rabbit Directed by Masoud Atyabi from Lebanon
 Also the title of "Written on the Sand" directed by "Mansour Ben Pouteh" from Malaysia is in non-competitive section of Cinema of Salvation.
Secretariat of the 30th FIFF announced that the titles of Iranian films of this part will be announced later.
The Selection Committee of International Cinema competition of Fajr International Film Festival includes Rasoul Sadrameli, Shahram Asadi, Mohammad Bozorgnia, Mehdi Homayounfar, and Julian Pelisse.

The committee will select 60 films out of 553 films received to the secretariat of the festival for different sections of the festival including, World Panorama (International Competition), Eastern Vista (Competition of Asian Cinema), Cinema of Salvation (Competition of Films from Islamic Countries), Golden Phoenix Prize of Asian Cultural Affinities, Golden Banner (Mustapha Akkad).

On the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of Islamic Revolution, 30th Fajr International Film Festival will be held from February 1st to 11th 2012 in Tehran and some other Iranian provinces.
