KhabarOnlie: The majority of respondents to an opinion poll conducted by Khabar Online believe that an experienced figure should become the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the upcoming presidential election.

The poll indicates that 46.5 percent of the participants believe that an experienced figure such as Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani or Ali Akbar Nategh Nouri should be elected as the country's president in presidential election that is expected to be held in June 2013.

Some 25.6 percent say that a figure who has executive powers, like Mohammad Reza Aref, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Mohammad Reza Rahimi or Ali Nikzad, must lead Iran for the next term as president.

The survey also shows that another 15.6 percent of the participants believe that the country should be run by a diplomatic figure such as Ali Akbar Velayati, Hasan Rohani, Kamal Kharazi, Ali Akbar Salehi or Manouchehr Mottaki.


This is while only 12.3 percent think that a Radical figure from either principalist or reformist parties should become the next president of Iran.

The poll is conducted by Khabar Online  on September 6 with 12561 individuals have so far been participating in it.
