Khabar Online: In response to Canada's closure of its embassy in Tehran and expelling Iranian diplomats in Canada, Iran characterized Stephen Harper’s foreign policy as fanatical.

“The present government of Canada led by Mr. Stephen Harper is characterized by extreme policies in field of foreign policy”, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast said on Friday
He said several hostile measures of Canada state against Iran and Iranian residents there like closing the Visa section of Canadian Embassy in Tehran, the blockade of Iranian’s bank accounts reside in that country and obstructing the transfer of money for Iranian students there prove this claim.
Iran's reaction came after Canada closed its embassy in Iran and expelled Iranian diplomats in Canada. Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird announced on Friday he was worried about the safety of diplomats in Tehran following recent attacks on the British embassy in the country.
Referring to Baird stances, Ramin Mehmanparast said Canada’s racist and hostile measures against Iran are exactly following of what has been dictated by Zionists and Britain.
Mehmanparast also said the closure of Canada embassy in Tehran is a very hasty measure and aggressive respond to Iran’s achievement in holding Nam summit in Tehran which Canada tried its best to prevent it.
